Music Directors who fizzled out their initial successes

1. Uttam Singh - Uttam Singh as an independent music director (after having an illustrious career as a music arranger)made a splashing debut with Yash Chopra's Dil To Pagal Hai which will always feature amongst the best bollywood albums. Although he had started as a music before long ago too with his partner and they used to compose as Uttam-Jagdish but his career prior to Dil To Pagal Hai was largely as a music arranger.

Post his debut, the other popular albums of him were Dushman and Gadar and to some extent Hero: Love story of a spy. Apart from these most of his post hardly had any hummable tunes. We really hope he makes a  great comeback some day.

2.Ismail Darbar - After having a successful career as a violinist, he got a big break in form of  Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sana with great success. Unforunately, post that apart from Devdaas and to some extent Tera Jaadu Chal Gaya none of his albums were anything to home about.

He later landed into a big controversy also when he accused A R Rahman for having bought the academy awards and also landed in trouble when he was accused of assaulting one of his employees.

3. Sanjeev Darshan - They made a smashing debut with Mann with some exceptionally good music.Although the movies was not a success despite boasting some best stars as well as a successful director with 4 blockbusters behind him but the music was hugely appreciated. They had music in their genes as they were sons of Shravan Rathore of the melody king duo of Nadeem- Shravan so had music in their genes and their paternal uncles Vinod Rathore and Roop Kumar Rathore are also eminent singers.

But post their big debut, with the exception of some albums like Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and to some extent Aashiq they never unfortunately gave any good albums leading to the speculation that their successes' were also ghost directed by their father.

4. Sandesh Shandilya - His Sooraj Hua Maddham had taken the entire nation by storm and would always feature amongst the best 100 songs of Indian Cinema. Prior to his film debut he had composed music for some great albums like Piya Basanti and Pyar Ke Geet.

Post that apart from Socha Na Tha, Road, Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local and the track "Aaoge Jab Saamne" from Jab We Met it has been a downhill ride for him.
